Right to Know Request

Pennsylvania Act 3 of 2008, commonly known as the “Right to Know” or “Open Records Law” took effect on January 1, 2009. Requests for records from the Borough of Heidelberg must be made through the Borough’s appointed Right to Know Compliance Officer, using the Borough’s Open Records request form. Requests must be specific. Anonymous requests will not be acknowledged. A Heidelberg Borough response is required within 5 business days of receipt of the Right to Know requests. The Borough of Heidelberg may also invoke a 30-calendar-day extension within the 5-day response period to comply with a request.

Heidelberg Borough may require the requester to prepay an estimate of the fees authorized under this section if the fees required to fulfill the request are expected to exceed $100.00

All fees for requested records must be paid in full at the time of the release of the
requested records.
